Marie Fulop, M.S., CFE—Fort Myers, FL, USA

Detective Marie Fulop holds a master’s degree in criminal justice with an emphasis in abnormal psychology/behavioral science. Detective Fulop is currently employed with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, assigned full time to the United States Secret Service. Her second job is working at Rasmussen College holding the position of coordinator and lead professor for the School of Justice Studies. Detective Fulop has been in law enforcement for over 16 years. She spent 14 of her 16 years working criminal investigations, more specifically money laundering, drug and fraud cases.

She has been the case agent in landmark criminal cases involving fraud where she received awards from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and United States Secret Service (USSS) for her accomplishments and seizures in federal investigations resulting in successful prosecution. She has over 2,000 hours of specialty training while working with local, state and federal agencies including the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), FBI, U.S. Marshal’s and USSS. In 2011, Detective Fulop became a member of Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) and obtained her certification. In 2012, she joined the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS). Detective Fulop is diligently working toward achieving her CAMS certification within the next six months.
