Boys Hope Girls Hope is an organization dedicated to help motivate children in need to meet their full academic potential. Boys Hope Girls Hope accomplishes this mission by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities and education through college for boys and girls.
At this time, the St. Louis mission of Boys Hope Girls Hope has two programs available: non-residential and residential. The non-residential program, Hope Prep, is a college preparation and non-residential scholarship program at two area schools sponsored by the Boys Hope Girls Hope of St. Louis. This program provides numerous services, which includes after school programming, in-home college coaching, and summer camp and college scholarships.
The residential program recreates the family atmosphere and dynamic that is central to healthy adolescent development. The residential scholars live in homes and not institutions. These homes are located in safe neighborhoods where they are cared for by live-in, round-the-clock professional residential counselors who provide the parenting that all children need. There is one girls home and one boys home located in the Greater St. Louis area.
Boys Hope Girls Hope is important to the Greater St. Louis ACAMS Chapter because of the personal support and involvement of an officer of the board and the important role that the charity plays in the St. Louis area. Our board member has contributed to this charity in the past through planning and contributing to fundraising efforts, as well as volunteering at the homes and at other events.
